Political Peak has been rapping alongside South London’s most notable and notorious heavyweights since the unbelievable age of eight. An early adopter of Youtube’s DIY shoot-n-upload technology, the charismatic, Brixton prodigy immediately connected with young audiences up and down the country garnering over 1 million views per release. His rise to fame came faster and further afield than any of his then CD manufacturing contemporaries and in doing so, created a huge splash in a new wave of urban music.

 

With breakthrough singles “Jetski Wave”, “Wave Like Us” and “Touch Ah Button,” Peak and fellow teenage collaborator, Sneakbo patterned and pioneered a new sound for the masses, Afro-Bashment — their blueprint, a genre mixup of blunt and forceful road rap combined with Afro-beat and dancehall influences is now a chart crashing genre currently popularised by artists such as Not3s, J Hus, Kojo Funds and countless others.
